Objective
Create a comprehensive design system and completely redesign the analytics dashboard to improve user onboarding, reduce churn, and increase feature adoption.
The Challenge
The client's SaaS analytics platform had grown organically over 4 years, resulting in inconsistent UI patterns, confusing navigation, and a 15-step onboarding flow. Churn was at 8% monthly and feature adoption was low — users only engaged with 20% of capabilities.
Our Solution
We built a complete design system in Figma with 200+ components, redesigned the dashboard with a focus on key workflows, and reduced onboarding to 4 steps with contextual guidance. The new design was implemented in React with Storybook documentation.
Our Approach
Conducted heatmap analysis and user interviews to identify usage patterns. Created 3 design concepts validated through preference testing. Built the design system iteratively, starting with foundations (colors, typography, spacing) then atomic components.
